The school recently held an exciting open-air campaign event, bringing together staff and students from Year 1 to Year 6 to witness the contestants present their vision for leadership.
The event began with contestants, who had been fully vetted, taking to the stage to express their interests in serving the student community. Captivating speeches flowed throughout the afternoon, ranging from candidates vying for house captain roles to those aspiring for the position of school president. Many of the speeches left the audience mesmerized, as each contestant shared their ideas and commitments with passion and confidence.
A highlight of the event was the induction process conducted by Mr. Byamukama from the National Electoral Commission. He explicitly explained how the election process works on a national scale and drew comparisons to how it is applied within schools. His address not only added credibility to the event but also gave students a deeper understanding of democratic practices.
The Student Council patron, Mr. Moses Lujja, officially announced the names of the contestants as they stepped forward to speak. His presence added formality and ensured that the event maintained a well-organized structure.
The campaign day was more than just a presentation of speeches; it was a celebration of student leadership, democracy, and active participation. With the enthusiastic support of teachers and peers, the contestants had the perfect platform to showcase their abilities, and the entire school community left inspired and eager for the upcoming elections.
