Early Years Department
Description
The Lead Teacher is responsible for teaching all areas of the curriculum, classroom preparation and supporting learners to achieve their educational needs
Responsibilities
- Teaching all areas of the curriculum
- Preparing the classroom for lessons
- Lesson planning
- Classroom display and submission of paperwork
- Working one-on-one or with small groups of students
- Professional Development and collaborative planning
- Helping on School outings or at school events
- Reporting and liason with parents/ guardians
- Assessment and report writing
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Education or related
- Teaching Qualification/ Certificate
- Relevant Teaching Experience
- Experience in an international school is an added advantage
The Teaching Assistant will work under the supervision of the Classroom Teacher to provide support in classroom management, lesson planning, and student supervision. The Teaching Assistant will work closely with the Classroom Teacher to ensure that the learning environment is conducive to student growth and development.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Classroom Teacher in creating lesson plans and delivering instruction.
- Support the Classroom Teacher in managing the classroom, including monitoring student behavior and providing feedback to the Classroom Teacher.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional assistance with coursework or other tasks.
- Assist in the supervision of students during classroom activities, transitions, and other times as needed.
- Provide feedback to the Classroom Teacher on student progress and behavior.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other information as directed by the Classroom Teacher.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Occasional Duties:
- Supervising or conducting clubs
- Supervision on school trips
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Education or any related
- Experience working with children
Non Teaching
