August 29, 2025
We recently held a meeting with the Year 6 teachers, HoD Primary, Head of School, and parents to discuss strategies for supporting our current candidates as they prepare for the upcoming Checkpoint examinations next year.
The meeting opened with a focus on the way forward, outlining clear strategies to ensure excellence. Teachers highlighted the importance of targeted interventions, differentiated instruction, and close monitoring of progress. Parents were encouraged to complement these efforts at home by providing consistent support, encouraging good study habits, and maintaining open communication with teachers. Together, both home and school were reminded that collaboration is key in helping learners succeed.
After discussing strategies, the team reflected on the last sitting’s Checkpoint results. Strengths and achievements were acknowledged, while areas needing improvement were identified to guide current efforts. This reflection provided valuable insights to shape teaching approaches and ensure that previous challenges are addressed effectively.
The Head of School emphasized that academic success must go hand in hand with personal growth, aiming to develop confident, independent, and resilient learners. The shared vision is for every candidate to not only excel in their Checkpoint examinations but also to become the best version of themselves.
The meeting closed with a renewed sense of partnership between teachers and parents, committed to walking together in guiding our learners toward excellence.
